We are a community based high school robotics team located in Nashville. We have students from about 12 different high schools from around the Nashville area. Our mission is to make STEM accessible to everyone, through community outreach and volunteer projects.

Antioch High School's students are participating in the Technology Student Association (TSA). This allows students to enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.

Hello, I make functional sculptures such as lighter cases, incense burners and ashtrays. I believe in making something aestheticly pleasing and functional so that you can engage in your every day tasks with whimsy.

I make items from up-cycled yarn, such as hats, sweaters, animals, and toys. My proceeds support adults with Autism.

Atomo’s hands-on synthesizer is a DIY project that is ever-evolving. (custom modules both from kit and raw breadboard and soldering) It will be a very approachable and tactile experience which should give folks a deeper appreciation for music born of electronic components. There will be an oscilloscope that shows a visual representation of the sound being produced from the user's patch. I aim to enrich the public’s understanding of electronic music so they will listen with more depth and interest forever onward.

Cosplay Chewy and Friends visit the Maker Fest!

We offer a fun, hands-on, make-and-take experience where visitors can choose a small 3D-printed dog and a laser-cut plywood doghouse. Participants can decorate their dogs and doghouses with acrylic markers, then assemble the doghouse for imaginative play. We’ll have space at the table for visitors to create during the event, or they can take a kit home to decorate and assemble later.

Blue Rose Oracle creates handcrafted pendulums using ethically sourced stones, combining craftsmanship, neuroscience, and history. Designed for introspection and decision-making, each pendulum is crafted with careful attention to balance, chain length, and weight distribution. At TN Maker Fest, visitors can explore different stone types and discover how material choices impact movement and user experience.

I do a range of mediums including acrylic and oil painting, Lino printing, patch making, and more. I sell all of these things along with stickers and tote bags of some of my designs.

Couture Technologies + Freedom Company will delight visitors with the latest in virtual apparel fitting, try on, and styling technologies. Using just a cellphone or tablet, we'll invite visitors to create their own digital avatar, as well as use a set of stock avatars to virtually try on clothing from Freedom Company. We'll have a sample of Freedom Company's personalized apparel that visitors can try on and order online if they choose.

We sell homemade cookies and chocolate-dipped items.

I am a Vanderbilt student making handmade jewelery, bags, bag charms, and more! I specialize in bead and wire work, embroidery, and sewing. I am planning to sell my work, and also am happy to provide demonstrations or instruction on jewelry making!

I’m a Nashville based chef and potter. I craft functional small-batch stoneware with the goal of bringing warmth to daily routines. Each piece is individually hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel and finished with custom food safe glazes.

HempWood is an American-made building material created from industrial hemp stalks, transforming an agricultural crop into high-quality, durable flooring and other wood-alternative products. Our mission is to showcase the potential of industrial hemp through ag-tech, manufacturing, and sustainable innovation while connecting agriculture to the built environment.

Hivemind is a fully student-led FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team from Spring Hill, Tennessee. FIRST Tech Challenge is a global robotics competition. Each season, our team collaborates to design, build, and code a new robot to meet a fresh set of game challenges. Students develop STEM skills and lead outreach initiatives to bring hands-on robotics into the community. We’re not just building robots, we are building future innovators and leaders.

Try your hand at knitting … with a machine! Transform yarn into fabric and learn how a knitting machine operates to make a fun sample to take home!

I have a laser cutter. I design my own files and have my laser cut them out. All of my products are hand painted and assembled solely by myself. I have really fun craft kits I make for kids which could be something I demonstrate or something fun like a model they can put together!

Students in 3rd-5th grade at Lipscomb Academy will show tools they use in their makerspace on a weekly basis, such as the Chomp Saw, 3D printer, TinkerCAD, Stop Motion, and more! Come by to see us!

Lightspeed Square is a handheld electronic device that allows you to quickly find exact squared distances from two perpendicular walls (or a wall and ceiling or a wall and the floor) in order to mark locations for lighting, furniture, windows, cabinets, hanging mirrors or pictures, or flooring. It can also be quickly used to map out rectangular spaces (like pads for decks or sheds or pickleball courts) in a fraction of the time it takes with traditional tape measures or single-measurement laser distance sensors.

Make Nashville is a nonprofit Makerspace that supports local artists and makers by providing access to the tools, space, and education to bring their ideas to life. We have CNC machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, an automobile lift, lathes, welders, sewing machines, ceramics wheels and kilns, tools for fine arts, and a photography darkroom, just to name a few.

I make any and everything I can think of! From full body costumes to fursuits, needle felt, clay sculptures, bags, hats, paintings, keychains, plushies and much much more

Attendees aged 5+ (or younger with supervision) float colors over a thickened liquid surface to be printed onto paper, for free (limit 1 per attendee). Once dried after ~2 hours, your art will be ready to go! A limited number of pieces by Jimmy Sears will be on display and/or for sale.

Sharing information on ways to support and engage with arts and culture in Nashville, access to funds and grant opportunities for artists and art organizations, and other artist support we promote as well as giveaways at the table (crayons!)

I’m an artist, illustrator, author, and creative guide who likes making things that are colorful, playful, curious, and sometimes a little weird. My work is inspired by pop culture, nostalgia, everyday moments, and the wonderfully odd things that make us human. I create original artwork, prints, illustrated books, and a creative journal. I’ve also spent years exploring what it means to make creativity a daily practice, so a lot of my work is about encouraging people to stay creatively alive and make room for more imagination in their lives. At my booth, you’ll find art to hang on your wall, books to get lost in, and hopefully something that makes you stop, smile, and think, “Yep. I need that.”

Mold It takes old, donated crayons and gives them a new life. By melting them down into new and exciting shapes, they are kept out of landfills and given a second home. Additionally, we make seed paper by using the crayon wrappers, blending them into a pulp, and then adding native wildflower seeds to it to eventually make a paper that can be planted in the ground.

Monroe Gardens is a social enterprise of Monroe Harding that provides hands-on workforce development and life skills training for young adults through gardening, plant production, and product creation. What makes our exhibit special is that every purchase directly supports young people as they gain job skills, confidence, and work experience while creating and selling these products. Monroe Gardens combines community impact, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, allowing attendees to support local youth while taking home unique, locally grown and handcrafted products.

I am a leather worker specializing in handbags and jewelry. My work exhibits a country western/ southwestern vibe. Lots of fringe, turquoise, bolos, wallets, etc. Everything I create is hand-crafted here in Nashville by consciously sourced materials from the USA.

Mother/Daughter owned and operated start-up. Small batch botanical fragrances made with zero synthetics. There are a serious lack of transparent ingredient fragrance companies because of the protection laws built to protect secret recipes. We want to offer clean ingredients and transparency, even if it means being copied. In fact, we want people to follow suit, so that there can be many more healthy options on the market. If knowledge is power, let's all share our super powers! (We also offer, handcrafted small-batch skincare and local beeswax + organic coconut oil candles - zero synthetics and hidden fragrance)

Rainbow Mosho is an artist, author, and creative maker on the autism spectrum who transforms lived experience into colorful books, wearable art, and sensory-friendly creations that celebrate creativity, and inclusion. Visitors are invited to explore original books, handmade jewelry, and sensory art kits designed to encourage self-expression, emotional regulation, and imaginative play. Throughout the day, Rainbow will share the stories behind her work, demonstrate how everyday materials can become meaningful creative tools, and discuss how art can help build confidence, connection, and accessibility. This interactive exhibit welcomes families, educators, makers, and curious minds of all ages to discover, create, ask questions, and experience how creativity can spark conversations about belonging, innovation, and the power of thinking differently.

Studio NPL is an innovative, technology driven learning environment for teens aged 12-18. Daily workshops are mentor led and focus on building 21st century skills in STEM, digital literacy, and career readiness. Whether you want to be an engineer, filmmaker, graphic artist, musician, or anything else, Studio NPL has resources and the nurturing environment for teens to explore and engage their passions.

We are a middle and high school competitive robotics team with 9 students plus mentors. We will set up our robotics field and let visitors drive several of our 18 inch by 18 inch robots. The field is 12 feet 12 feet. The robot shoots wiffle balls into a goal. Our team also likes to bring a Rubik's Cube-solving robot to allow attendees to "race" the robot to see who can solve the Rubik's Cube the fastest.

The Tennessee Association of Woodturners (TAW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the art and craft of woodturning through education, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences.

Tennessee Robotics Center (TRC) has been developing young engineers since 2011. What started in a garage has grown into Middle Tennessee's premier robotics and engineering program for students in grades K–12. Our students don't just learn about engineering — they design, build, code, and compete on the same industry platforms used in official FIRST and Robot Drone League competitions.

As the Tennessee chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), we work with individuals and groups around the state to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy and sustainable living society.

The Very Hungry Craft-erpillar is a colorful, hands-on craft where children build and decorate their own movable caterpillar. Each child can personalize their caterpillar with different colors, patterns, and decorations, making every finished craft unique. The pieces are designed to be simple to assemble with adult help, and children get to leave with a fun creation they made themselves.

Travel Bug Card Game was created by Nashville local, Chelsea Domino. As a mom, educator, and travel blogger, Chelsea views travel experiences as valuable learning experiences and shares ways to prepare kids for travel that sticks on her blog, DominoTracks. The game was created out of that same passion for learning through travel. Players navigate the highs and lows of travel experiences while booking destinations all over the world. It’s more than a game; it’s edutainment.

We will be presenting on the student drive work that the Vandebilt Aerospace Design Lab produces. We are a top team in the NASA USLI competition designing and building mission rockets and payloads form the ground up. We want to reach out to the community and show the engineering opportunities Vanderbilt, has outside of the classroom.

The Vanderbilt Collaborative for STEM Education and Outreach (CSEO) is dedicated to enhancing literacy in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through the establishment of unique partnerships between University scientists, K-12 educators and students, and the local and global science community.

The Vanderbilt Communication and Language Lab is interested in investigating how people's reading habits affect their language processing skills. Using linguistic tasks and "brain games," we piece together the experiential factors that help readers process difficult sentences and how these factors make each reader different.

We will present/display a variety of devices that are intended to assist individuals with disabilities or to help reduce injury risks. Devices include things like prosthetic limbs, exoskeletons, smart clothing, and other wearable assistive devices. Some devices are powered (motorized), while others are passive (using springs and other non-motorized mechanisms).

We are a team of twelve (and counting) faculty in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College who are working to better understand child development from infancy to adolescence. We are particularly interested in children’s growth in the context of the families, schools, neighborhoods and cultures in which they live. Our work relies on voluntary participation from parents and children of all ages, and we invite all families to join us.

Vanderbilt University Motorsports FSAE Team is a student-led organization that designs, builds, and races their own race car. The team competes at the FSAE Internal Combustion competition in May in Brooklyn, MI against schools from around the world.
